Continental Airlines has placed a new order for five 737-800 aircraft with The Boeing Co., and converted an order for two 767-400ER jets to larger 777-200ER jets, the airline announced. The five new orders are worth up to $300 million, while the change in the order for the long-range, twin-aisle aircraft could mean up to $76 million more for Boeing’s coffers, according to the manufacturer’s published price lists.
