Arena Open House Marks 5Th Birthday

The Spokane Arena celebrates its 5th birthday with an open house today from 1 to 5 p.m.

Everyone is invited to come and take a look behind the scenes of the Arena: From the Chiefs’ locker room to the press box and dressing rooms of the stars, everything will be open to explore.

Several activities are scheduled for the celebration as well, including live music by Civilized Animal and Too Slim & the Taildraggers, a basketball shootout for kids and adults, a classic car show, a Spokane Chiefs hockey puck shoot, a Zamboni photo shoot, gifts for the first 2,500 people and free birthday cake for thousands.

The event is free.
