Man’S Disappearance Probably Voluntary
A missing-person case involving a 43-year-old Spokane carpet cleaner is now being treated as a “voluntary disappearance,” the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday.
Sheriff’s detectives spoke with an airline clerk who believes Keith L. Fetterhoff recently purchased a one-way ticket to Hawaii. Detectives also spoke with a woman who remembered Fetterhoff talking about how he wanted to return to Hawaii, where he used to live.
Investigators had been looking into the circumstances of Fetterhoff’s disappearance after he did not show up for work early last week. His company van was found at the Spokane International Airport, unlocked with keys inside. Detectives initially suspected foul play.
