Customer Accused Of Attacking Cabbie

A cab driver was injured Tuesday when a customer attacked him, Spokane police reported.

The cab picked up the passenger at Moezy Inn, 2723 N. Monroe and dropped him off in the 500 block of E. Lacrosse.

The victim told police the rider, Dennis Harvey, 29, refused to pay for his ride and punched and kicked him when the driver attempted to receive payment.

After being kicked to the ground, Harvey got into the cab and tried to run over the cabbie, another witness told police. Harvey then stopped the car and dove into a house through an open window.
