Extra Tag Option

From Staff Reports

A new provision allows Idaho resident deer hunters who draw controlled hunt permits to take a second deer if they’re willing to purchase a leftover nonresident tag. The Idaho Fish and Wildlife Commission passed the provision for selling leftover deer and elk tags after the 2000 hunting regulations pamphlet was printed.

The only catch for resident hunters is that they must pay the nonresident price for the leftover nonresident deer or elk tags.
