Primary Election Results
FOR THE RECORD: September 22, 2000: Candidate omitted: Susan J. Owens was the top vote-getter in the Washington Supreme Court Position 2 primary Tuesday. Her name was omitted from the election results Thursday. The latest count shows her with 180,786 votes, or 28 percent. She will oppose Jeff Sullivan, who finished second with 118,885 votes, or 19 percent.
Here are the latest results from Tuesday’s primary, with some ballots still to be counted. In nonpartisan races, the top two vote-getters advance to the general election Nov. 7. In partisan races, the top Democrat and Republican advance, along with any third-party candidate who receives at least 1 percent of the vote. D denotes Democrat, R means Republican, L means Libertarian, I means Independent, RFM means Reform Party member and NM means Natural Medicine Party member. Money measures require 60 percent approval to pass.
