Doves Not Threatened

Fenton Roskelley

Hunting

The Fund for Animals and other animal rights groups claim that hunting doves will lead to the demise of doves. Are they right?

No, says the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The federal agency this month released the results of a study conducted in Ohio concluding that mourning dove populations have not been adversely affected by hunting.

Ohio is one of several states in which dove hunting is under attack by the animal rights groups.
