Man Jumped, Robbed

A Spokane man was attacked and robbed Saturday morning in the downtown area, police said.

The victim, 33, told officers he was jumped by a man and a woman at about 1 a.m. in a parking lot at Third Avenue and Monroe. He said the man hit him from behind, broke his glasses, then sat on his chest and displayed a knife.

The man went through the victim’s pockets and took his wallet, according to police reports.

The armed robber was described as black, in his late 30s, between 5 feet 10 and 6 feet, 230 pounds, with short black hair. The victim couldn’t describe the woman.
