How do you plan to pay for college? Louise Sullivan, a reference librarian at the downtown Spokane Library, is putting on a program early next month aimed at teaching parents and students how to find information on scholarships and financial aid packages on the Internet. There’s no need to register for the event. Just show up at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 3 at the downtown library, 906 W. Main.
Get involved. The Second Harvest Food Bank of the Inland Northwest (formerly the Spokane Food Bank) is taking applications for a newly created VolunTEEN Board. The board will be comprised of two to three students from each area high school. Teen board members will learn leadership and supervisory skills and take part in special events. For an application, call Marian Taylor at 534-6678, ext. 219.
