Green Bluff Church Will Feed Fruit Pickers

Green Bluff Community United Methodist Church will be hosting a little apple festival of its own while the orchards of Green Bluff offer several varieties of apples to interested pickers.

Stop by the church for a meal before or after you pick. The church will be serving baked potatoes, German sausage, chili and hot dogs.

Also on the menu are apple pie, apple dumplings and apple cider. The cost varies.

There also will be crafts and bake-sale items available. The church will be open every Saturday and Sunday starting this weekend and running through Oct. 22. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays.

The church is at 9908 E. Green Bluff Road.

Spaghetti dinner Sunday

The congregation of Mary Queen Catholic Church will host its annual spaghetti dinner Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. The cost is $6 for adults and $3.50 for children ages 6-12. Children 5 and under are free.

The church is at 3423 E. Carlisle.
