Campaign primer
Washington voters face a challenge this fall – casting ballots on a huge range of candidates and issues, and dealing with a brand-new primary system. In addition to two congressional campaigns, Spokane County residents will vote on candidates for governor, County Commission, the Legislature and several statewide offices. The Spokesman-Review is planning coverage to help you negotiate the candidates and issues that matter to you. Starting today, we’ll publish a Campaign 2004 page on Sundays through the November general election. The pages will focus on candidates and their positions on critical issues, as well as provide resources for voters to find a wide variety of election-related information. Today is step one: A comprehensive look at the Sept. 14 primary ballot, along with a list of resources for voters.
