The goal of Somebody Needs You is to match donors with the specific requests of needy Spokane residents.

The list of requests is coordinated by the Volunteers of America in cooperation with recognized social service agencies in Spokane.

If someone you know needs help, contact a local social service agency provider.

• Single mother with two children needs a couch, chair, dressers, TV and a VCR. Contact Carol at Transitional Living Center, 325-2959.

• Single mother with two children needs beds, bedding, couch, cooking items, dressers and bathroom items. Contact Sheri at YWCA of Spokane County, 326-1190, ext. 152.

• The YWCA Homeless education program needs backpacks, college-ruled notebook paper, calculators, dividers, three-ring binders, colored pencils, markers, glue, folders, rulers, scissors and index cards. Contact Kim at YWCA of Spokane, 326-1190, ext. 117.

• Low-income single mother of two needs table, lamps, couch and loveseat (black), coffee table and dressers. Contact Danielle at Institute for Family Development, 328-3802.
