Mukogawa Fort Wright Homestay Program – Families are needed to open their homes to Japanese students during the Home Stay Weekend, Aug. 20-22.Call Marlene at 328-2971 ext. 210.

Epilepsy Foundation Washington, Eastern Regional Office – Epilepsy: Out in the Open Walk will be Oct. 2 at 8 a.m. at the Mirabeau Parkway North Trailhead. Team captains are needed to help out the day of the walk, sign up sponsors and to deliver posters. Teens are welcome. For information, contact Sharon at 325-1128 or e-mail sjohnston@epilepsywa.org.

Parkinson Regional Center of Spokane – Gather and report information concerning the quality of the services provided by this center. Training will be provided. Contact Dorothy at 473-6740 or e-mail oday@nwrm.com.

Women’s Drop in Center – This safe, supportive community, 920 W. Second, promotes growth and well being for women of diverse backgrounds. Greeters, hostesses and volunteers for floor presence, support and technology center assistant are needed. Contact Francesca at 455-4249.

Valleyfest – This free community celebration for children and families will be Sept. 25 at Mirabeau Park in Spokane Valley. To volunteer for this event call Peggy at 922-3299 or e-mail pdoering@spokaneim.com.
