Monday, 3 p.m., Council Chambers, City Hall, review of agenda for Aug. 16, including possible resolution to place fluoridation measure on ballot, and approval of routine items.

Monday, 6 p.m., Council Chambers, City Hall, legislative session, contingent approval to include city of Spokane in Aquifer Protection Area in reapproval ballot measure this fall. Also, proposed relinquishment of public right of way of Sheridan Street between Sprague and First avenues so Becker Buick can expand dealership.

Spokane Public Facilities District

Tuesday, 2 p.m., district administrative office, 720 W. Mallon, various aspects of Convention Center expansion project.

Spokane County Commission

Monday, 2 p.m., commissioners’ hearing room, Public Works Building, 1026 W. Broadway, deliberations and possible decision on seven comprehensive plan amendments.

Tuesday, 9 a.m., Spokane County Courthouse, 1116 W. Broadway Ave., weekly meeting with the county’s CEO. Agenda includes parks and facilities.

10:30 a.m., briefing on Washington State Department of Ecology’s loan offer for a wastewater treatment plant.

11 a.m., briefing on stormwater easements.

2 p.m., commissioners’ hearing room, weekly meeting on non-hearing items.

Spokane Valley City Council

Tuesday, 6 p.m., City Hall, 11707 E. Sprague Ave. Topics include: requiring businesses to register, Sept. 14 ballot issues regarding property tax increase for street paving and fire district annexation, building setbacks, library district capital facilities plan, scooters and motorized bike laws and the salary commission’s report.

Spokane Park Board Finance Committee

Wednesday, 6:30 a.m., Manito Park Garden Center meeting room, Manito Park, park budget and spending.

Spokane Park Board

Thursday, 1:30 p.m., Council Chambers, City Hall, annual report from Friends of Manito.

Spokane Valley Planning Commission

Thursday, 6:30 p.m., City Hall, 11707 E. Sprague Ave.
