German group plans potluck, auction Saturday

The Inland Northwest Chapter of the Germans from Russia plans to put on its annual potluck picnic and silent auction Saturday at the Manito Masonic Lodge.

Members of the national group, based in North Dakota, have traced their lineage back to Germans who lived in Russia before coming to the United States.

The event begins at 2 p.m. at the lodge, located at 2715 S. Grand Blvd. Those attending are asked to bring a German dish of any kind plus an item for the silent auction. Parking will be available across Grand to the west.
