Two arrested on meth charges

The Spokesman-Review

Two Spokane residents were arrested on warrants and drug charges Sunday.

Spokane Valley Police Department officer Jared Kiehn saw a car in the parking lot of Victoria’s Towing, 7125 E. Broadway Ave., Sunday morning. The business was closed at the time, according to police spokesman Cpl. Dave Reagan.

Kiehn talked to the two people inside the car. Both appeared to be very nervous when asked their names, Reagan said.

A man, identified as Josh M. Lange, 29, 3922 N. Pittsburg St., had a warrant for taking a motor vehicle and trying to elude police, Reagan said. He was arrested for the warrants. Inside the car, police allegedly found methamphetamine belonging to both Lange and passenger Melanie K. Buchmann, 25, 2722 E. Everett Ave.

Buchmann had a warrant for escape from community custody, Reagan said.

Both were booked into the Spokane County Jail for their warrants and on charges of suspicion of possessing meth.
