Clothing giveaway to be held today at First Presbyterian

The First Presbyterian Church, 521 Lakeside, is once again holding its Community Children’s Clothing Giveaway today from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church.

Get everything you need for school including winter coats, backpacks, lunch boxes, shoes and clothing in sizes from infant through high school.

Music at Center of Light

Enjoy Mount Shasta Transformational Healing music today at 8 p.m. at the Center of Light, 618 Wallace Ave.

Mount Shasta recording artist Anton Mizerak and Canadian singer/songwriter Kim Lorene will perform at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 and are available at the door. For more information, call 667-0462.

Nursery attendants needed

Faith Presbyterian Church, 9485 N. Maple St. in Hayden, is looking for a nursery attendant to work Sunday mornings from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Responsibilities include caring for newborns to 5-year-olds. A background check will be required.

Compensation is $7.50 per hour. Call the church office, 772-2372, from 9 a.m. to noon, or 1 to 5 p.m. during weekdays to inquire.

Monthly men’s breakfast

Community United Methodist Church, 1470 W. Hanley, is having its monthly men’s breakfast next Saturday at 7:30 a.m. at the Iron Horse Restaurant.

The program will begin a series of speakers talking about Public Health Preparedness. Doug Welch from Panhandle Health will discuss a plan for educating the public on being prepared for disasters or terrorism. Men of all ages in the community are invited. For more information, call 765-8800.
