Public schools accepting new-student registrations

New student registration for Spokane Public Schools’ elementary students, including kindergarteners, is under way.

Registration for new high school students begins Monday. Parents should call their student’s school for times.

If your child will be attending Arlington, Sheridan or Willard elementary school, registration will be held outside because summer construction projects are still under way at these schools. Look for the balloons and “new student registration” banners. These projects are scheduled to be finished before the first day of school, Sept. 7.

New students must provide a birth certificate or other verification of age. A Washington State Certificate of Immunization must be completed, with the month, day and year of inoculation.

More information about immunizations can be found on the school district’s Web site at www.spokaneschools.org/ HealthServices/Immunization. stm or by calling the district’s health services department at 354-7298.
