Christian Believer study planned by Methodists

Community United Methodist Church, 1470 W. Hanley Ave., will begin a 30-week study called “Christian Believer – Knowing God with Heart and Mind.” The class will be taught by Jan Brackett.

Christian Believer concentrates on the classical doctrines of the Christian faith, those that emerged in early Christianity as it struggled to understand its scripture and its experience of Jesus. These basic Christian beliefs distinguish Christians from other people and Christianity from other faiths.

For more information on this study, or if you are interested in attending, call Jan at 667-2450. The class will be limited to 15 participants and will meet on Sunday evenings. The orientation session is Sept. 19 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Special guest at Gospel Lighthouse

Gospel Lighthouse Apostolic Church at 4101 E. Hope in Post Falls, is hosting a special missionary this week. Evangelist Gerald Ripley from Batuio, Philippines, will be speaking today at 6:30 p.m. He will conduct special services Sunday at 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. The public is welcome. For more information, call Gospel Lighthouse at 773-6933.
