Newspaper misidentified

Daniel Pearl was a reporter for The Wall Street Journal. Due to a reporter’s error, the newspaper he was working for when he was killed by terrorists was incorrectly listed in a story in Tuesday’s paper.

Facts about developer incorrect

Due to an editor’s error, a story on developer Marshall Chesrown purchasing property near downtown Spokane contained two errors: Chesrown did purchase the Cedars Floating Restaurant, but has sold it. And the project he’s working on in Coeur d’Alene is called Riverstone.

Board appointment process wrong

Three members of the Spokane Employees Retirement System board are appointed by the City Council and three are elected by eligible employees while a seventh member is appointed by those six. Due to a reporting error, a story in Monday’s paper incorrectly identified the board makeup.
