Man arrested in shooting death

SEATTLE – A man has been arrested in the fatal shooting of another man outside a home in the suburbs between the city and Renton, King County sheriff’s deputies said.

The Renton man was arrested late Tuesday for investigation in the death of Michael D. Danning, 33, sheriff’s Sgt. John Urquhart said.

Danning is believed to have gone to a home in the Skyway neighborhood Monday night with two other men, one of whom entered the house and got into a fight, Urquhart said.

Investigators believe the first man then fled from the house, pursued by a second man who fired several rounds from a handgun, and Danning was hit by one of the shots.

Danning’s companions drove him to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he died.
