Name: Joe Mitchell

Age: 25

Hometown: Post Falls.

Occupation: Karate instructor. He has approximately 50 students now. He is part of the Christian Karate Association. They offer karate free to people who normally couldn’t afford it, or to just anybody. You can check it out at www.christiankarate.org.

Family: Mom, Pam, and Dad, Gerald, of Post Falls; two brothers and two sisters in Post Falls and one brother and one sister both in California. Joe falls right in the middle age-wise.

Sports: Soccer is his favorite sport and he also enjoys kayaking.

Music preference: World music, particularly Celtic, Scandinavian and African.

Books: Joe studies a lot about theology. He wants to learn Greek and Hebrew.

Favorite food: An African dish called mafe.

Favorite color: Green.

Holiday happenings: Joe hasn’t started his Christmas shopping yet. He will be with his family in Post Falls for the holidays.

What’s next: He wants to work as a missionary, possibly as a counselor later. He is going to Ecuador for three weeks next summer on a mission, where he will help finish a church and bring a puppet show and the art of puppetry to a children’s ministry.
