Cuckoo egg

A Cuckoo egg is an MP3 file that appears to be an illegal copy of a copyright-protected song. After the first 30 seconds or so of the real song, however, the file is overwritten with something else, usually cuckoo clock sound effects. The cuckoo egg project was started to discourage people from trading copy-protected music files online.
