Santa’s Elves – For ages 5-12; this class is an opportunity to be a toymaker for a day. Activities include making string puppets, catch-it cones and “gak,” Saturday from 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Corbin Art Center, 507 W. Seventh Ave. The cost is $21. For information or to register, call 625-6200.

Before- and After-school Programs – Educational and fun programs are available at the Northeast Youth Center, 4001 N. Cook. Transportation to and from some local elementary schools is available and state pay is accepted. Includes a USDA approved snack. Jump Rope Academy – Instruction includes single rope and double Dutch; ages 2-adult. Monday-Saturday. Free introduction class. Birthday and group workshops; $8 per person. Young Mom’s Life Skills/Support Group – Teen Parent Network provides a weekly young mom’s group for moms between the ages of 13-24 for encouragement, understanding, and acceptance.
