G-Prep students picked to join All-Northwest Honor Groups

Four students from Gonzaga Prep will join more than 900 of the most musically talented high school students in the Northwest for the 2005 All-Northwest Honor Groups.

Sophomore Son Ca Vu, daughter of Son Vu and Ngoc Hoa, has been selected to perform in the All-Northwest Band.

Josh Weigelt, senior, son of Jane Weigelt, has been selected to perform in the jazz band.

Selected to perform in the jazz choir is Alysha Avey, senior, daughter of Debbie and Arthur Avey; and Kirsten Randolph, senior, daughter of Phil and Sandra Randolph will perform with the mixed choir.

Christmas tree recycling to benefit Ferris Senior All-nighter

The Ferris High School senior parents will be holding their annual Christmas tree recycling event.

Proceeds will benefit the class of 2005 for their Senior All-nighter, a drug and alcohol-free graduation party.

Drop off your tree at the Ferris parking lot, 37th and Regal, on Sunday and Jan. 8 through 10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fee is $5 donation.
