Group Swim Lessons – The Whitworth Aquatic Center, 300 W. Hawthorne Road, is offering group swim lessons Saturdays , from Jan. 8-Feb. 5. Classes are from 2-3:30 p.m. and will be for levels one through six. The cost is $40. For information, call 777-4246.

Before- and After-school Programs – Educational and fun programs are available at the Northeast Youth Center, 4001 N. Cook. Transportation to and from some local elementary schools is available and state pay is accepted. Includes a USDA approved snack. Camp Fire USA – Clubs forming for children between the ages of 3-grade 12. Call the Camp Fire USA Service Center for more information, 747-6191.

Jump Rope Academy – Instruction includes single rope and double Dutch; ages 2-adult. Monday-Saturday. Free introduction class. Birthday and group workshops; $8 per person.
