Smoothies make great breakfast fare

Marge Svenson King Features Syndicate

The easiest breakfast fare is only as far away as your blender. Smoothies combine wholesome foods like yogurt, fruit and milk into one yummy treat that satisfies many daily nutritional requirements.

You might have to experiment a bit to get the right texture, but here are some basic ideas to get started:

Combine one frozen, ripe banana; 1/2 cup of vanilla yogurt; 1 tbsp. honey; and a cup of crushed ice. Blend until smooth. You also can substitute 1 cup of other fruit.
