Recruiting new businesses
In 1998, Spokane’s civic and business leaders joyfully announced that Goodrich, a global aerospace company, would build a manufacturing plant in the area that would employ hundreds. Six years later, many of those leaders say they’d love to stage a similar event, but that’s becoming less likely.
