AARP Driver Safety Class – Tuesday and Thursday from 12:30-4:30 p.m. at the Corbin Senior Center, 827 W. Cleveland. For information call the Senior Center at 327-1584.

Genealogy Family History and Heritage Week – Presented by the Institute for Extended Learning Seniors Program, this class meets Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Institute’s Learning Lodge, 3305 W. Fort George Wright Drive. The cost is $65. For information or to register call the Seniors Program at 279-6025.

Ice Cream Social – The Corbin Senior Activity Center, 827 W. Cleveland, is presenting this event on Tuesday from 1-3 p.m. in the Henderson Room. Entertainment will be provided by the Prancing Paws and Joyce Macko. The cost is $2.50 in advance and $3.50 at the door. For information call the Activity Center at 327-1584.

Second Annual Senior Picnic and Dance – All seniors are welcome to these events presented by the Spokane Valley Senior Center. The picnic includes games and lunch from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at Valley Mission Park on Wednesday. The dancing, led by Nichol’s Band will play at the Senior Center, 11423 E. Mission, from 1-3 p.m. Tickets for both of these events are $5. For more information call the Senior Center at 926-1937.

Watercolor Project – Presented by the Institute for Extended Learning Seniors Program, this class meets on Aug. 12 and 13 from 9 a.m.-noon at the Southside Senior Activity Center, 3151 E. 27th. The cost is $13. For information call the Seniors Program at 279-6025.
