Looking back Tractor repair class in 1942
Washington State College course for women
During World War II, women attending Washington State College took a course on tractor repair. They had to “learn the difference between oil and grease,” among other things, according to information on the back of the photo submitted by a reader. Taken in 1942 at the Helbling Brothers Shop in Pullman, one of the instructors was Joseph Herren Hereford, third from right.
