Somebody needs you
The goal of Somebody Needs You is to match donors with the specific requests of needy Spokane residents.
The list of requests is coordinated by the Volunteers of America in cooperation with recognized social service agencies in Spokane.
If you have an item to donate, please contact the social service agency directly. Donors who can deliver items are especially appreciated.
• Children, age newborn to 18, living in foster care need new or gently used clothing, baby furniture, beds, mattresses, bedding, shoes, coats and toys. Contact Carissa at Foster Parent Association of Spokane, 927-0293.
• Low-income family needs transferable frequent flier miles in order to see family member in critical condition out of state. Contact Janeen at New Hope Resource Center, 467-2900.
• Low-income woman needs bed, dressers and a small table with chairs. Contact Jill at SNAP 456-7160, ext. 109.
• Low-income couple needs a queen-size mattress and box spring. Contact Heather at Children’s Home Society, 747-4174, ext. 7238.
•Low-income family with two children needs living room furniture, beds, bed linens, dressers and pots and pans. Contact Kathleen at Central Valley School District Even Start Program, 228-4292.
• Single mother with two children needs a crib and dresser. Contact Belle at American Indian Community Center, 535-0886.
• Low-income family needs a washer and dryer. Contact Belle at American Indian Community Center, 535-0886.
• Low-income single mother with three children needs a VCR, baby trailer for back of bike, and a 4-foot by 6-foot or larger area rug. Contact Paula at Transitional Living Center, 325-2959.
• Low-income family with three children needs a computer with keyboard, and programs. Contact Bob at SNAP 456-7006, ext 106.
• Disabled females need muumuu dresses size 2X to 4X. Contact Colleen at ALTCEW 458-2509, ext 254.
