Due to a reporter’s error in an Associated Press story, the Washington State football team was listed as a Pac-10 runner-up in the 2002 season. WSU was the Pac-10 co-champion with USC and earned the spot in the Rose Bowl as the Pac-10 representative based on its win over USC during the regular season.
