Engineers Forum of Spokane – Tuesday in the Steamplant Grill, 159 S. Lincoln. Topic will be “Hybrid and Electric Cars: Where We Are and Where We Will Be,” presented by Esteban Rodriques-Merek, professor, Eastern Washington University. Landlord Tenant Rights and Responsibilities Lecture – Wednesday, 6:30-8:30 p.m., and Saturday, 1:30-3:30 p.m., at Global Credit Union, 1520 W. Third. Presented by Thomas McGarry, attorney, the class will cover the Washington Residential Landlord Tenant Act and will discuss landlord and tenant remedies and legal requirements for eviction and termination notices. Dog Training Classes – Mandatory registration meeting for training classes through Spokane Dog Training Club Inc., Wednesday, 7 p.m., 2620 N. Locust Road. Instruction includes puppy preschool, puppy kindergarten, home companion, competition obedience, jumping, rally, agility, flyball, herding and tracking. Railroad History Class Bike Tour – Charles Mutschler, Eastern Washington train historian, will lead a bike tour on Saturday along the former rail line that runs through Turnbull Wildlife Refuge, Cheney. Mutschler will discuss the development of Western railroads and in particular the Spokane, Portland & Seattle Railroad. Class size is limited, reservations are required. Family Identification Plan – Presented by COPS Northwest, offers IDs for all children and other family members at risk. ID packets are available at COPS Northwest on the first Saturday of every month from 10 a.m. to noon. Participants will receive a computer disk copy of their photo and a fingerprint card.
