Manito Presbyterian plans Bible school

Manito Presbyterian Church, 401 E. 30th Avenue, is holding its vacation Bible school program, “Lava Lava Island: Where Jesus’ Love Flows,” for children entering pre-kindergarten through the sixth grade.

The program begins July 19 and continues daily from 9:30 a.m. until noon through July 23.

Activities will include crafts, games, skits, and snacks, and the whole family is invited to a luau on July 21.

The highlight of the week is a hands-on mission project to benefit children in the Caribbean and in Latin America.

A donation by one of the church members makes it possible for the week’s events to be free.

Youth group in the park

The youth group of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 2715 S. Ray St., is meeting every Sunday at 6 p.m. at Manito Park.

The youths and their friends are invited for food, fun and fellowship.
