Spokane County April home sales reach 634
A total of 634 homes were sold in Spokane County during the month of April according to the Multiple Listing Service of the Spokane Association of REALTORS®.
Overall average price of the homes was $141,992. Eighty-eight of the homes were new construction that averaged $210,625. Total dollar volume for the month of April was $90.0 million.
Year-to-date statistics show that 1,837 homes have been sold through April of 2004 at an average price of $137,222. Dollar volume through April (2004) was $250.2 million. A total of 289 homes were new construction.
These figures compare favorably with those of year-to-date April of 2003, when 1,751 homes were sold at an average price of $128,565. Total dollar volume was $225.1 million. A year ago, newly constructed homes sold through April numbered 248.
In the Valley: 147 homes sold for an average price of $158,038. Thirty-one of the homes were new construction. Dollar volume was $23.2 million.
In the South: A total of 144 homes — 18 of them were new construction — sold for an average price of $165,860. Dollar volume was $23.8 million.
In the Northwest: 196 homes sold during April at an average price of $131,292. Twenty-two were new construction. Dollar volume was $25.7 million.
In the Northeast: 108 homes — seven of them new construction — were sold at an average price of $97,627. Dollar volume was $10.0 million.
In Other Areas of Spokane County: Thirty-seven homes sold at an average price of $153,861. Ten homes were new construction. Dollar volume was $5.6 million.
