Glockling’s name misspelled

Due to a reporting error, Michael Glockling’s named was misspelled in a story in Tuesday’s Sports section about the 4A district tennis tournament.

Hearing dates incorrect

The Washington state Medical Quality Assurance Commission’s hearing on Dr. James H. Watts III was March 12 and 13. Due to a reporting error, an article in Tuesday’s newspaper said the hearing was last week. The board’s decision dismissing the charges against the doctor was made public Monday. Watts said Tuesday that he retired from practice May 1.

Headline number wrong

Due to a copy-editing error, a headline in Tuesday’s business section said that nearly 1 billion jobs are expected to be shipped out of the U.S. by the end of 2005. The correct number is nearly 1 million.

VA facility also has scanner

Spokane’s VA Medical Center also has a 16-slice CT scanner. Due to incorrect information supplied to the newspaper, a story in Monday’s edition said that Rockwood Clinic has the only one in town.
