Hillyard group to discuss budget goals

The Hillyard Steering Committee will hold its annual spring general meeting at 7 p.m. next Thursday at the Northeast Community Center, 4001 N. Cook St.

The 2004-2005 budget will be discussed, and some of the benefactors of community development support will give updates.

Neighborhood council meetings

• The Northwest Neighborhood Council will meet at 7 tonight at Audubon Park United Methodist Church, 3908 N. Driscoll Blvd.

Sandy Richard, crime prevention specialist for the Spokane Police Department, will discuss fraud. Also, there will be a discussion of the new proposed Ridgeview school design and a proposed Driscoll/Browne Park.

Stakeholders will report on planning for the next 20 years.

• The Chief Garry Park Neighborhood Council will meet at 7 tonight at Stevens School Library, 1717 E. Sinto.
