Shooting, racing, punching, slashing — these are the pursuits of many of the thousands of video-game titles published each year.

A new crop of games, however, has “love,” or at least the physical act of it, as the player’s main goal. The games are sure to alarm parents’ groups, although their developers are eager to keep the action tame enough to avoid an “adults only” rating from an industry group.
