Middleton ousts Timberlake

ONTARIO, Ore. – Cody Porter finished 2 for 4 with four runs batted in Friday to lead Middleton to a 7-5 win over Timberlake in a loser-out game of the State 3A baseball tournament at Treasure Valley Community College.

Middleton led 6-4 after Travis Nowotney’s RBI single in the fourth.

Kim and Kory Kreider of the Tigers (20-5) were a combined 4 for 7 with four RBIs.

Lakeland (16-13) was also eliminated from the tournament, but no details were reported.
