Spokane teen photography award winners include Eric Schmitz's photo of Dragontail Peak.

Three Spokane teens won top honors in a photo contest sponsored by the Inland Empire Chapter of the Photographic Society of America.

Eric Schmitz of Northwest Christian won $100 for his photograph of Dragontail Peak in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness.

Joey Mornin of St. George’s won $50 for his portrait of a friend.

And Nick Burns of Central Valley won a $75 gift certificate for his photograph of a porcupine.

The contest generated 156 photographs from 16 schools in Montana, North Idaho and Eastern Washington.

Other teens who did well in the competition include Noel Parslow of the Medicine Wheel Academy, Jody Zellman of Ferris, Amelia Peterson of Timberlake, Sasha Walker of Lakeside, Christine YellowElk of the Medicine Wheel Academy, Malia Rawlings of Colville and Tim Macklin of St. George’s.
