Man fires pistol over card game
Spokane police are looking for a 19-year-old Spokane man who allegedly lost his temper during a card game, pulled a pistol and fired a shot through the floor Saturday night, narrowly missing a child seated on a couch.
Police say Michael D. Charles was playing cards at a house on the 3700 block of North Cook in Spokane when another man in the game corrected Charles’ pronunciation. Charles reportedly then pulled a handgun from his waistband and fired a shot through the floor.
Charles and a companion then went through a back door and ran from the house with another man, police said. Police say they expect to charge him with reckless endangerment.
