Terrorism will be topic at Medical Lake COPE
Classes on Neighborhood Watch and terrorism awareness will be Tuesday in Medical Lake, the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office announced.
Since recent terrorist events, terrorist awareness has been incorporated into Neighborhood Watch, which is a national program aimed at enhancing community safety, sheriff’s spokesman Cpl. Dave Reagan said in a press release.
The class is open to the public and will run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Medical Lake Sheriff Community Oriented Policing Effort station, 111 W. Brooks Road.
Man booked in burglary
A Spokane man was arrested early Saturday in connection with the burglary of a South Hill pharmacy.
Robert Andrew Graham, 22, was arrested about 1:45 a.m. after officers pulled up to Jones Pharmacy, 906 S. Monroe St., Spokane police spokesman Dick Cottam said in a press release.
Officers arrived because a silent alarm at the business had gone off.
The officer who pulled up saw a man kicking in the glass of the front door and another man standing by.
Both men attempted to flee, and one remains at large, Cottam said.
Graham was booked into jail on a count of second-degree malicious mischief and a count of second-degree burglary.
