National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week Candlelight Vigil in front of St. Vincent de Paul’s Coeur d’Alene thrift store in honor and memory of those who face hunger and homelessness in our community, 5:30-5:45 p.m. Monday.

Chiropractor “Will Work for Food” Monday through Saturday Dr. Timothy Grothman and the Health Within Chiropractic Center in Post Falls, is giving his time in exchange for a nonperishable food donation of approximately $20 for the Post Falls Food Bank. 4-H Sign-up Night Tuesday at 6 p.m. for youths aged 5-18, in Building No. 1 at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds. There will be a presentation with an overview of 4-H and the role of youth, parents and leaders. Information: 446-1680.

National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week Tuesday from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m., the public is welcome to tour St. Vincent de Paul’s facility. Meet at the retail outlet at Walnut and Government Way. Everyone who takes a tour gets a $5 gift certificate to the store.

Food Shopping for the holidays The University of Idaho Extension Nutrition Program, a community based education program is offering free weekly classes to recipients of food stamps or other Health and Welfare programs.
