High school musicians thanking community with special concert

Hundreds of Spokane Public School high school honors musicians (band, orchestra, choir) will come together to perform at the Festival of the Arts concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Opera House.

The students will practice all day Monday and Tuesday under guest conductors. The concert represents a thank you to the community supporters of public school arts programs and provides an opportunity for the students to display their talents.

G-Prep presents ‘The Crucible’

Gonzaga Prep drama students, under the direction of Pat Bulger, will present “The Crucible,” the Arthur Miller play about the Salem witch trials of 1692.

Curtain times are 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday in the Kubiak Fine Arts Theatre at 1224 E. Euclid Ave. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students. Reserved seating may be purchased by calling 483-8511.

St. George’s stages ‘Wonderland’

St.George’s seventh- and eighth-grade students will present the musical “Wonderland,” retelling the “Alice in Wonderland” and “Alice through the Looking Glass” stories at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the Founders Theater on the school campus, 2929 W. Waikiki Road.

The musical is directed by David Demand and Jeanne Hardie. Call 466-1636 to reserve seats. Admission is free.

All Saints Christmas store

All Saints Catholic School will offer a Christmas store from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the school gym, 3410 E. 18th Ave.

The store will feature decorated and undecorated wreaths, garland, centerpieces and swags donated by area businesses. There will be craft items and a cocoa and bake sale presented by the school cheerleaders.

Proceeds will go toward funding the school’s Fair Share Program and purchasing cheerleader uniforms and athletic equipment. For information, call 534-1098, ext. 238.
