I don’t mind seeing memorials

I was reading the Valley Voice (Nov. 18) and came across Sandra Babcock’s article in the Front Porch.

She said that she recently noticed that make-shift memorial on the corner of Dishman-Mica and Eighth had been removed, and had a sigh of relief for the community and family.

I as well drive by that make-shift memorial nearly every day, and things do not fill holes in the hearts of surviving loved ones, but I do believe that it can be a huge step in that direction. And as a lifelong member of the Spokane Valley, I do not mind seeing the makeshift memorials on roadsides and highways. And to all those families, you’re all in my thoughts and prayers.
