Inn, victim misidentified

A man was killed during a robbery attempt at the Apple Tree Inn early Tuesday. Because of a reporter’s error, the motel was misidentified Wednesday. Also, because of incorrect information, the name of the victim was wrong. The victim was Martin Harold Doerring.

Wrong company listed

Douglas G. Heyamoto is an associate principal at Northwest Architectural Co. An item in Business Beat on Sunday about his appointment to a state commission listed the wrong name of the company.

Panhandling law exists in Valley

Spokane Valley has a law against aggressive panhandling. A story in Wednesday’s paper said otherwise based on information in a report to City Council.

Service location wrong

Due to a clerical error, Wednesday’s obituary for Carroll Johnson had the wrong service location. A corrected obituary appears in today’s paper.
