St. John’s Cathedral celebrating 75 years
On Oct. 20, 1929, the Episcopal Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, 127 E. 12th Ave., officially opened its doors.
This weekend, it will present four different services to celebrate its 75 years of worship.
The first service takes place on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. in All Saints Chapel. The ceremony, Holy Eucharist Rite II, will include hymns and a homily.
The second service, Holy Eucharist Rite I, will be at 8 a.m. Sunday in the cathedral, followed by the Family Holy Eucharist Rite II at 9 a.m.
The final ceremony, at 11 a.m. Sunday, will celebrate with the choir at the cathedral.
All four ceremonies will have a rededication service and will include portions of the original liturgy read 75 years ago.
After the 11 a.m. service, coffee will be served.

Christian college fair
Whitworth Community Presbyterian Church, 312 W. Hawthorne Road, will host a Spokane Christian College Fair Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. for students and their families interested in a faith-based higher education.
Information about financial aid will be available, as well as representatives from more than 35 Christian colleges.

Yoga workshops
The Radha Yoga Center, 406 S. Coeur d’Alene St., Suite T, is hosting several spiritual workshops this week to help heal both spirit and body.
Today, the center is presenting, “Finding Divine Mother Within: A Spiritual Workshop” from 7:15 to 9:15 p.m.
The Divine Mother can take many forms such as a protector or a provider. This workshop will discuss these. The cost is $10.
Weekly classes in dream interpretation, the Divine Light invocation and Kundalini yoga will begin Monday and will run through Dec. 4.

Bazaars
• First Presbyterian Church, 318 S. Cedar St., will host an autumn luncheon with food bazaar and entertainment Tuesday.
The event, sponsored by the Whitworth Auxiliary, starts with a bazaar at 10:30 a.m. Lunch seating will begin at 11.
Tickets are $10.

• Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 3307 W. Rowan Ave., will host a crafts bazaar Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Crafts tables are still available for a $25 donation.

Harvest Party
Liferoads Community Church, 4209 E. Pacific Ave., is hosting a harvest party Oct. 31 at 3 p.m.
The event will feature Bible-themed crafts, food, games, prizes and a jumping castle.
