Stella is a mystery. Kootenai Humane Society workers say there is no good reason why this practically perfect pup hasn’t found a home. She’s everything you’d want in a dog, they say. She’s well-mannered, housebroken and approaches other dogs with a polite, curious sniff. It makes one wonder how she ever became a stray. She hardly seems the sort who could fend for herself on the streets of Rathdrum, where she was found last February. And who could part with her?
