Verizon to hire 3,000-5,000

In a story that ran in the Business section Saturday, the Associated Press reported erroneously that Verizon Communications Inc. plans to hire between 5,000 and 7,000 workers to help rewire its network. The company said it plans to hire between 3,000 and 5,000.
