Big Sky tabs Eagles’ Kimble for honor
For averaging 29.4 yards every time he touched the ball against Central Washington on Saturday, junior Eric Kimble of Eastern Washington was selected the Big Sky Conference football special teams player of the week.
Kimble had a 76-yard punt return for a touchdown, plus a non-scoring 71-yard pass reception. He finished with 147 all-purpose yards the five times he touched the ball. He finished with 92 yards on four punt returns as the Eagles won 39-8.
• Girls soccer: Freshman Ali Fenter scored two goals in the first seven minutes and junior Katija Margitich had two goals and her second assist after visiting Clarkston tied things at 2 by the 15-minute mark to lead Shadle Park (2-2, 2-1 GSL) to a 6-4 Greater Spokane League win .
